Our Thoughts
“ … The heritage of country cottages has always interested us and this centre terraced property was originally part of the local “maltings”. These were buildings where barley was warmed and allowed to germinate then quickly dried to prevent development further. The by product was used for beer making [or – if you are Tea Total – vinegar production]. With this history behind it no wonder No 2 Malt Cottages has character and charm in abundance. Don’t go looking for integral garages or modernity at this address … it’s not there … but you will find a snug and cosy cottage with a lovely “secret garden”, off road parking, a “deep in the country” feel and modern conveniences including a white replacement bathroom, uPVC replacement windows, a fitted kitchen and gas central heating by “combi” boiler. Ready for a few personal touches our advice would be to follow the red brick path and view this two bedroom cottage for yourself – it’s the only true way of finding out whether it’s for you …”
