Our Thoughts…

“…A super little semi detached three bedroom house with a garage and the need of a bit of tidying up is the basic nuts and bolts of this property but … it’s in Olveston …what can I say about Olveston that you don’t already know? Not much I expect and, to find a three bedroom house at this price in such an attractive village should leave me nothing to add anyway but, for those who don’t live in this area, let me just confirm a few of the salient points for you; Olveston is a beautiful, historic, village located just 5km from the Almondsbury Interchange with the A38 and M5. It, unusually these days, still retains a degree of self sufficiency in the range of local retailers on the main street. These include a butcher, a baker but, alas, no candlestick maker that I know of. Schools may be important to you and Olveston Primary comes highly recommended. The secondary school at Alveston [Marlwood] has an excellent reputation and a bus service runs between the village and school for all pupils. A beautiful Anglican church and a chapel combine with a great pub [that has a resident Jazz Band] for your spiritual and social needs and with a strong commercial accent in North Bristol this could be the perfect village in which to base yourself…”

Directions

From our office, travel south up the hill to Alveston where you turn right opposite “The Ship Inn” into Down Road. Continue through the village, out into the country and through the hamlet of Old Down. Carry on down the hill into Olveston and take the first left into Orchard Rise. The Second left is Laxton Close and No 1 is on the corner that borders Orchard Rise.
