Our Thoughts

“…There can be few things that thrill an Estate Agent more than handling a property that is “faultless”. Well… yes, I know nothing is perfect and I’m sure, if I delved deep enough, I might find a blemish somewhere in this marvellous house, but on first, second and subsequent viewings I’ve yet to spot any that may exist. From the moment you pull up into the drive you get the impression of “smartness” with a well maintained driveway and substantial gates which are electronically controlled for security. The windows will also demonstrate commitment to quality and, bear in mind, we have yet to enter the property yet. The generous hallway; a feeling of light and space and lovely neutral décor are the first things that struck me upon entry and this was repeatedly reinforced throughout my first tour of “The Hollies”. With a study, lounge, dining room and family sun lounge on the ground floor there is in built versatility to enable the creation of a further bedroom especially considering the potential for a shower room under the stairs. The kitchen is an oaken delight and will bring out the best of the cook / chef in you. You can see the garden from here but let’s go upstairs first and see the two magnificent bedrooms, both with great views and the fully tiled bathroom with wide shower cabinet and bath tub as well. … Right, that garden, well the whole plot is 75 yards [yes yards] long. 40 of these yards lie behind the sun lounge and are beautifully “gardened” … I’m afraid I know too little about the plants and variety of flora in this delightful space but I do know how it felt and I could picture myself with a deck chair and a large G&T on a sunny afternoon with the bees buzzing and the sun shining down …. Zzzzzzzzzz…”

Directions

From our Thornbury office turn left onto the High Street and cross the mini roundabout driving out of the town and reaching Alveston.  At the A38 traffic lights turn right signed to Bristol and continue for 2 miles.  As you approach the bridge over the M4, you will see a major set of Traffic lights. Turn left here into Hortham Lane and, when you are approaching the new development of Hortham Village turn left into Hortham Lane. No. 15a “The Hollies”  is a further 275 metres along on the left hand side.
